Q. HOW MUCH ARE SCHOOL FEES AT CBS?
A. Our School Fees start from R15 840 – 21 600 per annum, depending on the grade the learner is in. If the whole amount is paid in full by the end of March, the learner qualifies for one month’s exemption of school fees. For parents who choose to pay monthly, school fees are payable by the 5th of each month in advance.
Q. HOW DOES THE 1 MONTH DISCOUNT WORK?
A. If you pay all of your fees by March you will qualify for a 1 month discount. We normally refer to this as the December Fee. We hope this incentivizes you!
Q. WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION?
A. Please contact us for detailed entry requirements. We generally accept learners above the CAPS Standard. Each application is considered with great care.
Q. WHERE IS CBS?
A. We are located at: Cnr. Kolbe Avenue and James Dick Street Willows Bloemfontein.
Q. WHAT MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IS USED AT CBS?
A. We are an English medium school, we do offer Sesotho and Afrikaans as First additional languages but other subjects are taught in English.
Q. HOW MANY LEARNERS ARE IN EACH CLASS AT CBS?
A. Our classrooms takes 25 learners at a maximum.
Q. AT WHAT AGE CAN I APPLY FOR CHILD STARTING GRADE R AT CBS?
A. A learner has to be turning 6 before April the year they will be starting with Grade R.
Q. ARE THERE ANY SCHOLARSHIPS?
A. We do not have any scholarship or funding programmes now. However, we will consider it in the future through smart partnerships with local businesses and community leaders. We will also call on our alumni to give back to the school and lend a helping hand. We will keep you informed of any developments we make in this regard.
Q. WHAT SUBJECTS DO YOU OFFER?
A. We offer English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Mathematics, Life Skills, Social Science, Natural Science and Technology, Sesotho First Additional Language, Economic Management Science, Creative Arts, Mathematical Literacy, Physical Science, Life Science, Economics, Accounting, Business Studies, Tourism & Computer Applications Technology.
Q. CAN I TOUR THE SCHOOL BEFORE APPLYING?
A. You are most welcome to come to the school to look at our facilities, meet our academic staff and our fantastic admin team. We feel this is an important part of getting to know more about Castle Bridge School and the huge commitment we have towards educating our learners and giving them the best foundations for a good career.
Q. WHICH GRADES ARE OFFERED AT CBS?
A. We enroll learners from Pre-Primary right up to Grade 12. Once a child has reached Grade 7, we encourage them to stay at Castle Bridge School and continue until completion.
Q. ARE THERE ANY EXTRA MURAL ACTIVITIES AT CBS?
A. Yes we have rugby, soccer, netball, cricket, choral music, dancing, poetry, drama, chess and a whole lot more.
Q. WHEN A LEARNER GETS TO THE FET PHASE, WHICH FIELDS OF STUDY ARE OFFERED AT CBS?
A. We offere two academic fields, sciences and commerce.
Q. HOW CAN I APPLY?

In addition, you can submit your application by email but please do ensure you scan and email through to us all supporting documents as well.
